CRYSTAL HYDRODYNAMICS IN A HORIZONTAL CRYSTALLIZER AND ITS EFFECT ON THE CRYSTAL GROWTH
Abstract
A motion and orystal growth in a rotary horizontal crystallizer has been described by differential equations,. A numerical method has been found out for- solving several examples by means of computer. The crystal growth, crystal path and mean relative velocity of crystal and liquid have been calculated. It has been pointed out that under considered conditions the average relative velocity of crystal was equal to free-settling velocity.
