PROBLEMS OF HEAT EXCHANGE DUE TO THE EFFECT OF A HIGH - POWER LASER PULSE UPON THE SURFACE OF AN OPAQUE BODY

  • Roman Domański

Abstract

Problems have been presented in this work, of heat exchange occurring while absorbing high-power laser radiation by opaque surfaces. Equations have been presented herein, to enable the calculation of temperature distribution within the material exposed to heating, molten and evaporized under the action of a laser radiation pulse.A generalized equation has been proposed herein, covering the heat conduction of a pulse effect of a heat flux, with consideration given to the finite velocity of propagation of a heat disturbance.
