MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR A GAS TURBINE STAGE AND GROUP OF STAGES OPERATED UNDER VARYING CONDITIONS
Abstract
The mathematical model has been presented in this work flow diagrams for calculation in a digital computer, to along determine with the performance characteristics of an axial flow turbine stage and group of stages. Use has been made herein of the method as presented by D. G. Ainley and C.C.R. Mathieson, and adapted for this purpose. This permits ths determination of turbine performance characteristics over a wide of changes of operational conditions, with the accuracy of approximately +/- 3% for the mass flow, and of approximately +/- 2% for the efficiency.
