INFLUANCE OF WORKING FLUID PROPERTIES ON THE DESIGN SIZES OF SUPERCRITICAL TOWER PLANT ELEMENTS
Abstract
A method of calculation of the characteristic design parameters of turbines and recuperators for various working fluids in supercritical power plants has been developed. This method has been based on the flow similarity of the investigated fluids and steam in turbines, as well as on the flow similarity of these fluids and helium in recuperators. The influence of critical parameters, specific heat and molecular mass, on the size of power plant elements has been discussed.
