FILM BOILING CRISIS STATE OF THE ART
Abstract
So calle d thermodynamic models of film boiling crisis, based on the assumption tha t stabl e film boiling can occur if heating surfac e temperature exceeds temperature of maximum possible superheating of boiling liquid, are presented in chronological order. Result s of experimental investigations of the effect of pressure, initial liquid subcooling, physical properties of heating surface and other parameters on the temperature of film boiling crisis are collected and analyzed.
