COMPARISON OF LIMITING MODELS OF STEAM PROPAGATION IN REACTOR CONTAINMENT DURING LOCA ACCIDENT

Abstract

Two limiting models of the propagation of steam in the reactor building during loss of coolant accident are described. The results of computation with the „piston" and „instantaneous mixing" models are compared. An estimation of the utility of models in PWR safety analysis is presented.
