THERMAL EXPLOSION. COURSE OF EVENTS ON THE GROUND OF THE CURRENT STATUS OF UNDERSTANDING
Abstract
A brief review of the theory of the vapor explosion is presented. The premixing process, the film boiling, the propagation and the fine fragmentation are discussed. Particularly, the detonation model is considered. It is pointed out that any well-grounded criterion of the explosion to occur has not been established.
