INVESTIGATION OF SHUT DOWN AND STOPPAGE PROCESS OF STEAM TURBINE
Abstract
The importance of shut-down and stoppage of a steam turbine system during its operating process, especially with duo-polar alternator of 50 Hz frequency, has been emphasized in the paper. On the basis of equation of motion the field under coasting curve, describing the shut-down and stoppage processes, has been obtained and the shape of the curve has been analysed. The shut-down and stoppage processes were compared with the start-up process.
