TY - JOUR AU - Masłowski, Andrzej PY - 2011 TI - OPTIMAL ESTIMATION OF SPACE-TIME POWER DENSITY DISTRIBUTION IN A NUCLEAR SLAB REACTOR JF - Journal of Power Technologies; Vol 38 (1972) KW - N2 - Analytical solutions with approximate problems of an optimal estimation of space-time distribution of power density in a nuclear slab reactor, has been presented in this paper. The case has been taken into consideration, of the occurrence of a single point disturbance, with but a single measurement point considered. Equations have been derived to determine the sufficient and necessary conditions for an optimal solution of the problem given, under the employment of the Lagrange functionals theory. Analytical results have been obtained in the fprm of a non-linear integral equation of Volterra type which has then been solved by the method of successive approximations. The algorithm of the above solution has been given and discussed, with the results of exemplary calculations having been presented in the form of graphs. A discussion has been conducted of analytical and numerical results thus obtained. The approximate solution, having been obtained according to the proposed approximation method, has been presented in the form of a computation algorithm, and dependeces occurring within this latter have been derived and discussed.
