%X This paper presents an economic analysis of an installation that produces hydrogen through water electrolysis. The purpose of the economic analysis performed for the hydrogen generator was to determine the break-even price of hydrogen. In calculations the NPV (Net Present Value) indicator was used. The reference system had installed power of 10 MW and worked 8 hours a day (2920 hours per year) during the valley of demand for electricity. The installation’s lifetime was assumed to be 100,000 hours. The efficiency of the hydrogen generator was assumed to be 80% during operation at maximum power.
