%A Łach, Jan %D 2011 %T APPLICATION OF THE MODIFIED KANTOROVICH METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF UNSTEADY TEMPERATURE FIELD %K %X The variational approach to the problem of unsteady heat transfer at type III boundary conditions has been presented in this paper. The modified Kantorovich method as generalized under [5] for the case of parabolic operators, has been employed for the numerical computations involved. The sequence of approximating functions has been selected in such a way, that they present the solutions of the elliptic part of the starting partial differential equation. Boundary conditions having been met in the form of an approximate solution permits to eliminate the surface integrals which if of a decisive importance for the facilitation of the course of calculations adopted. This course of calculations has been illustrated by an example of determination of an unsteady temperature field in an infinite plate. %U https://papers.itc.pw.edu.pl/index.php/JPT/article/view/112 %J Journal of Power Technologies %0 Journal Article %P 3-26%V 36 %@ 2083-4195
